Join artist Lucy Cheesman for a family friendly workshop to learn how to create your own soundscapes from the NASA sound archives.
Using our exhibition Rewriting The Future as inspiration, we’ll start this workshop thinking about what ‘future’ means to us.
Using code and archive sounds, we’ll then try putting together our own sound libraries. We’ll be using a combination of found sounds, synthesisers, recordings and effects to create brand new soundscapes and musical compositions, using the FoxDot live-coding language.
No experience necessary, just come along with an active imagination and be willing to make some noise.
This workshop is open to all, and is particularly suitable for families and children aged 8+.
