Summer 2019 is the season of partnerships at Site Gallery. Over the summer of our 40th year, we are collaborating with internationally-renowned festivals, fellow local galleries and emerging talent to showcase cutting-edge new media work, digital play for all.
In June we collaborate once again with Sheffield Doc/Fest, to present an exhibition of multidisciplinary content, from augmented reality to video and sound installations.
In July we present Game/Changers in partnership with the Children’s Media Conference, showcasing reinterpretations and remakes of iconic toys, games and experiences developed over the last 40 years. Artists and designers include Pippin Barr, Bennett Foddy, La Sophiste and Sensible Object and a new commission by our Society of Explorers.
In August the first Sheffield Freelands Artist Programme cohort – Alison J. Carr, Yuen Fong Ling, Zoyander Street, Lucy Vann and Siân Williams – will take over the gallery for Platform 2019 – a work-in-progress exhibition.
